Rounding up some prison news and commentary with (too much?) extra “celebrity” headlines
I am still on the road for a few more days, so blogging will continue to be relatively light this week. But as I watch my news feed, lots of prison-related headlines are catching my eye. And though I try not to lean excessively into too many stories about high-profile prisonsers (in part because other outlets thoroughly cover that ground), I could not help flagging here some “celebrity” pieces along with others:
From ABC News, “Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs denied bail while awaiting sentencing“
From the Boston Globe, “In prison, keeping up with technology is key to ‘basic survival’ on the outside“
From CBS News, “Corrections officer sues state prison system, alleges abuse and hazing by fellow guards“
From City Journal, “America Should Look to Japan for Prison Reform“
From Fox News, “Elizabeth Holmes spotted at Texas prison where Ghislaine Maxwell was transferred“
From The Hill, “Bryan Kohberger versus George Santos: Whom should we imprison?“
From the New York Post, “‘Club Fed’ is no place for a certified sicko like Ghislaine Maxwell — she deserves hard time“
