I heart the Pew Charitable Trusts

For anyone who truly loves sentencing and corrections data, be sure to mark you calender for this Valentine’s Day event sponsored by the Public Safety Performance Project of The Pew Charitable Trusts.  As explained here, on Wednesday, February 14, at 9:30am, the Public Safety Performance Project of The Pew Charitable Trusts “will release a new national and state-by-state forecast of America’s prison population over the next five years, identify the critical challenges facing states, and highlight innovative approaches some states are taking to protect public safety and control corrections spending.”  Helpfully, in conjunction with the release of the report, The Pew Charitable Trusts “will host a panel of leading experts who will discuss effective sentencing and corrections practices that are data-driven and fiscally sound.”
